Catanzaro’s hotels fall into two clusters: beachfront properties in Catanzaro Lido for summer holidays, and city hotels in the historic centre for sightseeing and business. There are no international chain flagships here; the best options are solid 4-star hotels and well-run B&Bs. Prices peak in July and August and drop by half in winter. See our weather by month for the monthly temperatures, rainfall and sea temperatures. See our travel tips and FAQ for airport, transport and practical answers.
Where to Stay in Catanzaro: Catanzaro Lido (Beachfront)
Staying in Catanzaro Lido puts you steps from the sandy beach and the Lungomare Stefano Pugliese promenade. This is the right choice from June to September if swimming is the point of the trip. The seafront runs about 3 km, with hotels concentrated near the centre of the Lido. See our things to do for the full list of sights and day trips. See our Catanzaro travel guide for the complete city overview.
