Nashik sits at about 584m elevation in the foothills of the Western Ghats in northern Maharashtra, roughly 170km northeast of Mumbai. Being inland, it has a tropical savanna climate with three clear seasons: a hot, dry summer from March to May, a heavy southwest monsoon from June to September, and a mild, dry winter from November to February. The city receives around 1,450mm of rain a year, and nearly all of it falls between June and September. Read on for the monthly numbers, then check the best time to visit Nashik guide for how to apply them and the Nashik overview for the wider picture.
