Kuşadası Weather by Month: Summer (June to August)

Summer is hot and bone-dry. July and August both peak at 34°C (93°F) in the afternoon, with overnight lows around 22°C (72°F), so air conditioning matters more than a jacket. Rainfall drops to just 5mm per month, and rain can be absent for 8 to 10 weeks straight. The Aegean Sea reaches 24°C to 25°C (75°F to 77°F) in August, warm enough for long swims off Ladies Beach. The meltemi wind blows most afternoons in July and August, which cools the coast to a comfortable level even when inland Aydın province sits above 38°C.

If you plan to spend the day at the beach or on a boat trip, July and August give you the most reliable sun, but expect the biggest crowds at the main beach neighborhoods and the highest hotel prices of the year.

Kuşadası Weather by Month: Spring (March to May)

Spring warms up fast. March still averages 17°C (63°F) by day with 75mm of rain, but by May the high reaches 26°C (79°F) and rainfall falls to about 30mm. Sea temperatures climb slowly from 15°C in March to 19°C in May, which is fine for a quick dip but cold for long swims. April and May are the best months for sightseeing at Ephesus and the Dilek Peninsula, because daytime highs stay in the low to mid 20s Celsius and the sun is out for 8 to 10 hours a day, and the things to do list covers the main sights in detail.

Pack a light jacket for March evenings, when temperatures can drop to 8°C (46°F). By May you can leave it at home. Spring is also when the countryside around Kuşadası turns green, and many of the spring and early summer events start to appear on the calendar.

Kuşadası Weather by Month: Autumn (September to November)

September is the sweet spot. The average high falls to 30°C (86°F) and the sea is still 24°C (75°F), warmer than it is in June, so swimming stays comfortable through early October. Rain picks up to 15mm in September and 40mm in October. By November the high drops to 19°C (66°F) and rain reaches 90mm, but there are still plenty of clear days for a walk around Pigeon Island. October is the best month for hikers, with daytime highs around 25°C (77°F) and cooler evenings.

Kuşadası Weather by Month: Winter (December to February)

Winter is mild but wet. December and January each bring around 145mm to 150mm of rain, the wettest stretch of the year, though showers usually pass in a few hours rather than lasting all day. Daytime highs sit at 13°C to 15°C (55°F to 59°F) and nights drop to 5°C to 6°C (41°F to 43°F). Snow is extremely rare on the coast. Many beachfront hotels and restaurants close from November to March, but the town center stays open year round for the cruise market and local life.
