Months to Avoid in Curitiba
January is the wettest month (170mm, 18 rainy days) and the most expensive due to summer holidays. July is the coldest month with frost common in the suburbs; if you dislike cold weather and don’t have warm clothing, July isn’t enjoyable. December 20 through January 5 sees peak domestic travel with inflated hotel prices and booked-out restaurants. February is Carnival season, but Curitiba’s Carnival is modest compared to Rio or Salvador, so you won’t get the massive street party experience here.
