Paradise Beach
Paradise Beach on the south coast is the original Mykonos party beach and still one of the most famous. The main beach club, Tropicana, runs day parties from 14:00 with DJs and dancers. Cavo Paradiso, a hilltop club overlooking the beach, opens at midnight and runs until sunrise with international headliners (entry EUR 30-50). Super Paradise Beach
Super Paradise is a half-moon bay of golden sand with emerald water, roughly 1.5 km southeast of Paradise Beach. Psarou is the most exclusive beach on Mykonos, a sheltered cove of fine white sand and calm turquoise water. Agios Ioannis Beach
This west-facing beach is where the 1989 film Shirley Valentine had its famous baptism scene at the small white church on the hill. Ornos Beach
Ornos is the most family-friendly beach on Mykonos. The water is shallow for the first 20-30 metres and completely sheltered from the wind. The beach has fine golden sand and a wide shoreline with room to spread out. Three tavernas line the back of the beach (Kostantis, Apaggio, and Pasaji) all serving grilled fish and Greek salads with beach service to your lounger. Bus from Fabrika runs every 20 minutes (EUR 1.80). It is also the closest beach to Mykonos Town (2.5 km, a EUR 10 taxi ride).
Agrari Beach
Agrari is the quiet neighbour of the much louder Elia Beach, separated by a small rocky headland. The beach has coarse golden sand and crystal-clear water that deepens gradually, good for swimming. There is one small taverna (Agrari Beach Restaurant) with reasonable prices (club sandwich EUR 12, beer EUR 5). Loungers cost EUR 15-20 per pair, half the price of the south coast clubs. There is no loud music, making it one of the few south-coast beaches where you can actually read a book. Access is via the bus to Elia (EUR 1.80) then a 5-minute walk down a dirt path, or by water taxi from Platis Gialos (EUR 5).

Fokos Beach
Fokos is on the north coast, completely undeveloped, with no sun loungers, no music, and one small taverna (Fokos Taverna, serving grilled meats and salads from an open kitchen). The beach is a long crescent of coarse sand and pebbles backed by low hills. The meltemi wind hits hard here in July and August, making it popular with windsurfers on blustery days. The water is deep and clear with occasional waves. Access requires your own transport because there is no bus service. From Ano Mera village, follow the dirt road north for 3 km. Bring everything you need because there are no shops for miles. The taverna is open June to September only.
Agios Sostis Beach
Agios Sostis is the northernmost beach on Mykonos and the most untouched. There are zero sun loungers, zero vendors, and zero development beyond the small Kiki’s Taverna on the hill above (no electricity, grilled food only, no reservations, queue starts at 11:30, open 11:00-19:00, closed Sundays). The beach has golden sand and clean water but gets the full force of the meltemi wind. Parking is a small unpaved area off the road from Panormos. No bus service. This is a beach for people who want to feel like they are on Mykonos in 1970.
