Summer Highlights

Kaapse Klopse (January 2)

The Cape Town Minstrel Carnival (Tweede Nuwe Jaar) is a riot of colour, music, and dance as troupes parade through the city centre in sequined costumes. Rooted in Cape Malay culture and the slave history of the Cape, it is one of the city’s most vibrant cultural events. The main parade runs through the city centre. Free to watch.

Cape Town International Jazz Festival (March or April)
