Qatar has a subtropical desert climate with two seasons: extremely hot summers and mild, pleasant winters. Doha averages 18°C in January and 37°C in July, with summer humidity making temperatures feel even higher. Rain is rare (about 75mm annually) and falls almost entirely between December and March. The best time to visit is November to March when daytime temperatures are 22-28°C and evenings are cool enough for outdoor dining. Sandstorms can occur in spring (March to May) and occasionally disrupt outdoor plans. Doha, like other Gulf cities, is heavily air-conditioned year-round, making indoor activities comfortable even in peak summer.
