There are two ways to reach Corvo, both from Flores. SATA Air Açores operates tiny planes (10-12 seats) from Flores Airport (FLW) to Corvo Airport (CVU), a 15-minute flight. These run a few times weekly and are heavily weather-dependent: flights can be cancelled or diverted on short notice. The alternative is the ferry from Santa Cruz das Flores to Vila do Corvo, taking about 1 hour. The ferry runs 1-3 times weekly depending on season and weather. In winter, the ferry schedule is irregular and cancellations are common. Book ferry tickets via Atlânticoline. Corvo Travel Tips: Practical Information
There is NO ATM on Corvo. Bring all the cash you will need from Flores. The mini-mercado in Vila do Corvo may accept cards but do not rely on it. The euro (€) is the currency. Tap water is safe. Mobile coverage is basic: 4G may work near the village but is absent on the Caldeirão. The island has a small health post for minor issues; serious medical cases require evacuation to Flores or further. English is spoken at guesthouses; Portuguese is the language of the village. Pack: hiking boots, full waterproofs, warm layers, sun protection, 1.5-2 litres of water capacity, food for the Caldeirão walk, and everything you might need , there is very limited shopping on the island.
