Manzanillo Weather by Month: The Dry Season (November to May)
November to May is the dry season, and it is the reason most visitors come. February, March and April each average 4-7 mm of rain, so rain rarely interrupts a beach day. Daytime highs run 30-32°C (86-90°F) with lower humidity, and evenings cool to around 19-20°C (66-68°F). January and February are the coolest and driest months. The things to do in Manzanillo guide lists the beaches and snorkeling spots that are easiest to reach in this window.
Manzanillo Weather by Month: The Rainy Season (June to October)
June to October brings the rain, most of it falling in short afternoon downpours rather than all-day events. Rainfall climbs from 126 mm in June to a peak of 287 mm in September, and humidity rises to around 80 percent. August and September are the wettest months, and this is also the heart of the Pacific hurricane season, which runs June through November. Hurricanes Kenna in 2002 and Jova in 2011 both made landfall near Manzanillo. Hotels in the best neighborhoods in Manzanillo resort zones run quieter and cheaper now.
Manzanillo Weather by Month: Sea Temperature and Humidity
Sea temperature stays warm all year, from about 25°C (77°F) in February to 30°C (86°F) in August and September, so swimming and snorkeling are comfortable in every month. Relative humidity is highest in the rainy season at 78-80 percent and drops to about 70 percent in March and April.
