Ghana has a tropical climate with two rainy seasons in the south and one in the north. Accra averages 25-31Β°C year-round, with the major rainy season from April to July and a shorter one in October. The dry season (November to March) is the best time to visit, with the Harmattan wind bringing cooler temperatures and dusty skies in December and January. Kumasi and the Ashanti region are slightly cooler and wetter, with rain possible from March to November. The northern region (Tamale, Mole National Park) has a single rainy season from May to October. The coastal forts and castles (Cape Coast, Elmina) are most pleasant from November to March.
