Foshan has a humid subtropical climate (Köppen Cfa) shaped by its position in the Pearl River Delta, about 20 km west of Guangzhou. The city averages 23°C (73°F) across the year and receives roughly 1,920 mm of rain annually, most of it falling between April and September. Winters are short and mild, summers are long, hot and wet, and frost is essentially unknown. Use this guide alongside our full Foshan destination guide to plan your trip.
