Acapulco Weather by Month

Mexico Guerrero Acapulco

Acapulco has a tropical wet and dry climate (Koppen Aw) with consistently warm temperatures year-round and a sharp division between a dry winter and a wet summer. The city sits on Mexico’s Pacific coast at 16°51’N latitude, which means the sun is intense every month, daytime highs stay between 31-32°C (88-90°F) and nighttime lows rarely drop below 23°C (73°F). Sea temperatures hover between 27-30°C (81-86°F), making the water swimmable 365 days a year. The rainy season runs from June through October, when afternoon downpours and tropical storms can dump over 300mm of rain in a single month. Acapulco’s location in a sheltered bay also protects it from the strongest Pacific hurricane impacts, though storms do occasionally make landfall.
