Bergamo Weather by Month: Temperatures, Rainfall and Climate Guide

Italy β€Ί Lombardy β€Ί Bergamo

Bergamo sits at the foot of the Bergamo Alps in northern Italy’s Lombardy region. The city has a humid subtropical climate (Koppen Cfa) with warm summers, cold winters, and rainfall spread fairly evenly across all months. The Alps to the north block the coldest air masses in winter but also trap moisture, giving Bergamo more rain than cities further south like Rome or Naples. Elevation plays a role too , the Citta Alta (Upper Town) at 358m is typically 1-2C cooler than the Citta Bassa (Lower Town) at 249m. Bergamo receives around 1,100mm of precipitation annually across roughly 95 rainy days.
