The dry season (October to June) is the best time to visit, with November to February offering the most comfortable temperatures. The Harmattan wind from the Sahara can bring dusty skies from December to February, particularly in the north. The Casamance region in the south is greener and wetter, with a longer rainy season from June to October. Saint-Louis and the coast are at their best from November to May with sunny days and cooling ocean breezes.
