Uganda

Uganda has a tropical climate moderated by altitude, with two rainy seasons and relatively stable temperatures year-round. Kampala at 1,190m averages 18-28Β°C year-round, with the long rains from March to May and short rains from October to November. Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest is possible year-round, though the drier months (June to September and December to February) offer easier trail conditions. Murchison Falls and Queen Elizabeth National Park are best for wildlife viewing during the dry seasons. The Rwenzori Mountains can be climbed year-round, but December to February and June to August offer the clearest conditions. Lake Victoria‘s shores receive rain throughout the year, with the Ssese Islands being driest from June to September and December to February.
