Zimbabwe has a subtropical climate with three seasons: hot dry, cool dry, and rainy. Harare at 1,483m averages 7Β°C in July and 22Β°C in October, with the rainy season from November to March. Victoria Falls is most spectacular from March to May when water flow peaks after the rainy season, though the spray can obscure views. The dry season (May to October) offers the clearest views of the falls and the best wildlife viewing in Hwange National Park. Manicaland and the Eastern Highlands are cooler and greener, with Chimanimani and Nyanga offering good hiking from April to October.
