The Seychelles has a tropical climate with consistent warmth year-round, lying outside the cyclone belt. Mahe averages 25-31°C, with two monsoon seasons: the northwest monsoon (December to March, warmer and wetter) and the southeast monsoon (May to October, cooler and windier). April and October/November are the transitional months with the calmest seas and best visibility for diving and snorkelling. The southeast monsoon brings seaweed to some beaches on the south and east coasts from May to September. The Seychelles is a year-round destination, with the best conditions from April to May and October to November.
