French Guiana has an equatorial climate with high temperatures, heavy rainfall, and humidity year-round. Cayenne averages 24-31°C with a main rainy season from April to July and a shorter one from December to February. The dry season (August to November) is the best time to visit, especially for exploring the interior and visiting the Guiana Space Centre in Kourou. Devil’s Island and the Salvation Islands are accessible year-round, though sea conditions are calmer during the dry season. Sea turtle nesting on the beaches of Remire-Montjoly and Awala-Yalimapo peaks from April to July.
