Guyana has a tropical climate with high temperatures and humidity year-round, moderated slightly by northeast trade winds along the coast. Georgetown averages 24-31°C year-round, with two rainy seasons: May to mid-August and mid-November to mid-January. The interior (Roraima, Kaieteur Falls) is slightly cooler due to elevation and forest cover, with similar rainfall patterns. The dry seasons (mid-January to April and mid-August to mid-November) are the best times to visit, especially for interior travel and wildlife viewing. Kaieteur Falls, one of the world’s highest single-drop waterfalls, is accessible year-round but most dramatic during the rainy seasons.
