The dry northeast monsoon (Iruvai) runs from December to April, bringing clear skies, calm seas, and the best visibility for diving and snorkelling. The wet southwest monsoon (Hulhangu) from May to November brings more rain, wind, and rougher seas, though storms typically pass quickly. Peak season is December to March with the highest prices; shoulder months of November and April offer a good balance of weather and value. June to September is the low season with the best deals, but expect more cloud cover and occasional rain.
